Take Action

Add your voice before the legislation is finalised.

Our detailed submissions matter, but so does the number of people who raise this directly with their own representatives. Here's how to do that in a few minutes.

Step 1

Copy a ready-to-send email

Feel free to edit this before sending — a message in your own words, even briefly personalised, carries more weight than a form letter.

Step 2

Find your federal representatives

Every sitting Senator and Member of the House of Representatives is listed on the Australian Parliament's own directory, with contact details.

Worth prioritising: your own local Member, and any crossbench Senator, since their vote isn't bound by party position when this Bill reaches the Senate. Current crossbench Senators include David Pocock (ACT), Jacqui Lambie (TAS), the One Nation Senators, and the Australian Greens.
Step 3

State and Territory transfer duty

This is a cost the Federal measure's rollover relief does not touch — it's entirely within each State and Territory's own power to fix, regardless of what happens federally. Find and contact your own State or Territory's Treasurer and Shadow Treasurer below.

Every other State and Territory

Search each directory for your State or Territory's Treasurer and Shadow Treasurer specifically, since they hold the relevant portfolio.
